Design Development 1

Considering the high noise level in Newtown suburb especially in the king street, I come out with idea of separating people from the noise. The design is having people move to first floor to enter the main gallery space. The ground floor is mainly used for office, receptionist, workshop, as well as storage of gallery. I think moving people apart from ground level may create the sense of entering another environment separating people from the King street's noise and crowd. The court is used mainly for sculpture garden, situated in the ground level, so that the visitors has to move down from the main painting gallery space to courtyard. This may create the sense of movement that give opportunity to increase the visual attractiveness within the gallery. The reception desk is put in the ground floor acts as a welcoming tool for people entering the building and also to avoid confusion people about the building. The main gallery will display contemporary painting, and the courtyard will display the contemporary modern sculpture work.
